Connecting at the Farmer's Market and With You

I followed my instinct last week and took a trip to the Summit Farmer’s Market here in NJ, on a rainy, Sunday morning. I hadn’t been since the summer and I knew it was one of the last Sunday’s that the outdoor market would be there until it resumed next spring. Though I intended to pick up farm fresh greens and other vegetables, the take away from my time there was so much greater than what I had anticipated.

Over the course of an hour or so, I engaged in at least three very meaningful conversations that began over bins of fresh spinach and arugula, canisters of herbal tea and bowls of mushrooms. One thing led to another. Topics ranged from spinach and whether to purchase this green veggie despite its levels of oxalic acid, to career advice as I purchased herbal tea, and, under the canopy of the mushroom purveyor, a story someone shared of a friend whose life was prolonged, following a cancer diagnosis, by incorporating mushroom serum into her diet.

I was energized by my time there and by the connections I made. Feeling inspired, once I returned home I eagerly took out a soup pot and put together a broth with my recently purchased Chaga mushrooms and root vegetables.

One of the services that I offer through my INSPIRED Wellness practice, is a guided tour of my client’s favorite market. Walking through the aisles together, my goal is to simplify the process of shopping for nutritious food while also inspiring my clients with recipe ideas. Trust me, it’s easier when we do these things together! And it’s a lot more fun.

If you are interested in booking a session with me, in addition to my other services, I’m now offering a 75-minute market trip for $75.

I look forward to hearing from you!
